Different Types of Dates

Date is the fruit of the palm tree. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants; therefore, it is good for the bones, skin, and hair. It is also rich in fiber and natural sugar and contains a high amount of energy. It improves the immune system performance. You can use it in different recipes including some sweets, cakes, snacks, and smoothies. Dates can be used in cooking some dishes as well. You can eat them with your tea, coffee, or milk instead of sugar. There are different types of dates including Mazafati, Piyarom, Kabkab, Zahedi, and Khasooei.

Dates are cultivated in many different tropical regions of the world and they have become quite popular in recent years. Almost 400 varieties of dates are cultivated in Iran, but only a few are commercially important and are recognized worldwide. Depending on the variety, fresh dates are fairly small in size and range in color from bright red to bright yellow.

Dates are easy to use in different recipes and can be used as a natural sweetener instead of sugar. if you do not want to use Date fruits in your food, you can use date products like date syrup and date paste to make dishes, sweets, and cakes. Date products contain all the nutritional benefits of Date fruits and are just as nutritious as Dates.

Despite the fact that dates are extremely nutritious and there are numerous benefits in consuming them, please bear in mind that they contain very high amounts of energy, and eating too much of them may cause obesity and high blood sugar levels. Therefore, they should be consumed moderately.
